In the fast–pacing, information-flowing and oh-so-many gadgets world of the 21st century, consumer needs are increasingly high and complex. High quality, distinctive products and services are no longer sufficient; consumers want something that better facilitates their daily life. A prime example is the declining demand for “dumb phone”, a mobile phone capable only of voice calling. Now, smart phones that serve as a portable computer, a personal assistant and even an e-purse are what modern consumers are looking for.

When adding value to products and services is not a one–size–fits–all solution, how do creative designers and entrepreneurs push themselves to be distinctive and able to respond to consumers’ complex needs at the same time?

Seeing new opportunities arisen within the ever–progressing creative business, TCDC will hold its annual gathering of ideas, Creativities Unfold, Bangkok 2013 or CU 2013, under the concept “Meet the Unmet: From Hidden Needs to Business Growth”.

We know that creativity incurs the lowest investment cost yet gives the highest return, but to make a real difference with creativity, we need to truly understand consumer problems and needs. And simply designing new products based on consumers’ responses is not good enough. An in–depth analysis into each layer of the varying needs in consumer daily life is essential to creating products and services that facilitate consumers in every context.

Join us in lectures and workshops given by Thai and international experts from diverse backgrounds. Come learn by listening and doing from the activities that TCDC curates with the aim to boost awareness of the importance of design that could be applied practically.
