Separating science from art and culture entirely has proven to be old-fashioned in today’s competitive world. On the other hand, combining the two not only creates a well-rounded thought process in achieving the best results but also brings about new opportunities for entrepreneurs who want to venture out into global markets and for designers who want to create new things.
“Design” is the middle science between the two sides of knowledge. Therefore, designers or those involved in design are the suitable group of people to transform surrounding sciences into innovation, strategy and business models so that entrepreneurs can use them to create products and services that cater to consumers of various status and tastes. At the same time, such knowledge-based design has an impact not only on an individual level but also on the society at large, as apparent in the shift from analog to digital era.
The “Creativities Unfold, Bangkok 2012″ symposium focuses on the concept “Design is Opportunities: Innovation, Strategy and Business” presented by experienced personnel and experts in combining sciences to devise novel solutions: from an effective strategy for improving an organization in crisis, a successful business model amidst aggressive competition, to a sustainable product that endures over time.
